Following a conversation with former UFC welterweight contender Jon Fitch, The Fight Network has learned that other American Kickboxing Academy fighters are on their way out of the promotion.

According to a heated Fitch, heavyweight sensation Cain Velasquez and welterweight star Josh Koscheck will be next to go following their upcoming bouts. Koscheck, who is coming off a loss to Thiago Alves, will meet Yoshiyuki Yoshida in the main event of the "UFC Fights for the Troops" card on Dec. 10.

Fitch expressed anger over being released for standing up for his principles when he refused to sign over lifetime rights to his name and likeness for the purpose of video games. He said he always came in shape to fight, while many others tested positive for steroids and were still brought back.

To hear lots more from the exclusive interview, tune in to Fight Network Radio with host Mauro Ranallo at 3 p.m. ET and catch Before the Bell, which premieres tonight at 6 p.m. ET only on The Fight Network.

Not sure the details, but this shows a bad precedent for monopolizing the sport in U.S. Affliction needs to get any TV deal quickly to make of use of the AKA's talent.

I agree that the UFC has an argument that there providing the worlwide venue and financial rewards whether it be via salary or sponsors to basically warrant lopsided contracts to it's employees, regardless of how popular they may become, However they are going through the growing pains that every major sports orginization has already gone through and has eventually adjusted to reflect the maturation of the employers and employees. I mean as long as Michael jordan was in the Nba......they can use his likenss and image in games and other products, but DEFINITELY NOT FOR A LIFETIME!!............. Kobe bryant, Lebron James, neither Dwayne wade would agree to that..........regardless of the benefits of the Nba's exposure. So as the orginization grows.........anything Lifetime for top athletes will have to be limited.
