Two bouts have been added to UFC Ultimate Fight Night 18 on April 1 in Nashville, Tenn.

The news comes courtesy of our friends at FiveOuncesOfPain.com.

The first pits Ryan Bader, the light heavyweight winner of the eighth season of The Ultimate Fighter, against Carmelo Marrero, who will be making his promotional return in the 205-pound match-up.

Bader (8-0) is coming off a first-round technical knockout of Vinicius Magalhaes at The Ultimate Fighter Finale last month.

The American Top Team's Marrero (10-2) is an octagon veteran with his biggest win in the promotion being a split decision over present-day heavyweight standout Cheick Kongo at UFC 64: Unstoppable in 2006. Marrero would go on to drop back-to-back battles against Gabriel Gonzaga and Wilson Gouveia in the UFC. He resurfaced with Zuffa LLC this past November as he vanquished Steve Steinbeiss via split decision at WEC 36: Faber vs. Brown. The one-time heavyweight combatant has his sights set on the stacked light heavyweight division, while Bader looks to rack up his ninth straight victory.

The second bout will be a middleweight tilt between WEC veteran Tim McKenzie and the debuting Aaron Simpson.

McKenzie (12-5) hopes to live up to his nickname of "Wrecking Machine" when he makes his first impression in front of UFC fans. The longtime World Extreme Cagefighting competitor holds victories over Bill Mahood and Doug Marshall with losses to Akihiro Gono, Scott Smith, Chael Sonnen and Steve Cantwell. He last tasted victory at WEC 34 this past June when he submitted Jeremy Lang via third-round guillotine choke.

Simpson (4-0) is a highly touted unbeaten prospect at 185 pounds, though he has yet to be tested against verifiable competition. Simpson is coming off a sensational 18-second knockout of David Avellan at WEC 36 in November and hopes to transfer some of his momentum to the biggest show in town when he makes his UFC debut.

Three fights have previously been announced, including TUF lightweight winner Efrain Escudero against Jeremy Stephens, a revived Junie Browning under Shawn Tompkins taking on Cole Miller and Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Ricardo Almeida against Matt Horwich. It is presently unknown which of the aforementioned fights, if any, will air on the Spike TV broadcast.
