During the commute, the convoy that Kemp was travelling in
hit a mine, which resulted in a casualty.
While on patrol outside for Forward Operating Base Robinson, communication was exchanged with the Taliban, pinning the crew down under rifle and RPG fire.

The operation involves a visit to some of the town's favelas or slums where police are trying to take back the streets from drug dealers and gangs.
