Jackson, who had held the UFC's 205-pound crown since his technical knockout of Chuck Liddell and May 2007, earned $285,000, his $60,000 "Fight of the Night" bonus included. The 30-year-old Memphis, Tenn., native entered the UFC 86 main event on a six-fight winning streak.

ELITEXC ADDS BASZLER TO JULY 26 LINEUP

Shayna Baszler will collide with Cristiane Cyborg at EliteXC: Unfinished Business on Saturday, July 26 at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, Calif. The winner could meet Gina Carano for the vacant EliteXC women's championship sometime later this year.

Baszler (9-4, 3-0 EXC) has rattled off four consecutive victories since her TKO loss to Tara Larosa under the Bodog Fight banner in early 2007. A protégé of former UFC heavyweight champion Josh Barnett, the South Dakotan has secured all nine of her wins by submission. Baszler last appeared in April, when she coaxed a tapout from Keiko Tamai on the ShoXC: Elite Challenger Series.

The unbeaten Cyborg (4-0) has won her last three fights by first-round TKO. The wife of Chute Boxe Academy veteran Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos, she has competed exclusively for the Storm Samurai promotion in Brazil.
