LAW MMA
UPDATE
**A huge explosion between the UFC and Zinkin Entertainment (who represent the majority of fighters from the American Kickboxing Academy). The problems stem from the UFC wanting their fighters to sign lifetime rights to their likeness and image for video games as part of the UFC's deal with Midway. Fighters that sign this agreement would be unable to be part of a video game if they jumped to a new promotion, who launched a video game and Zinkin was advising their fighters not to sign the deal. The UFC has released Jon Fitch as a result as well as Christian Wellisch (who was amicable to signing the deal but was let go as a warning sign by the UFC). This could have huge repercussions as AKA fighters Josh Koscheck and Cain Velasquez are expected to leave the company after their next fights, where their contracts expire.
Fitch was very upset over the way this was handled by the UFC telling The Fight Network that he never complained about money, being put in dark fight after dark fight and didn't even want more money. He said that during the negotiations Dana White was using threats such as Fitch having no other options for a promotion.
Mike Swick of AKA has signed the deal but Fitch told us that Swick has a special deal with the UFC that is different than the rest of the fighters at the gym and that is why he signed the deal.

FEEDBACK FORUM
Sarah Sweedland:
Hey John,
It's Sarah From Burlington. I haven't called in a while but it's been a total Gong Show here at work.
I wanted to comment on John Cena, and if you choose to read this, this coming Sunday night then awesome. But I am Officially boycotting Survivor Series. The WWE has ruined it this year by making a big to-do about John Cena's return. It's not like it's a miracle or anything. And it wouldn't be so bad if they weren't literally shoving him down our throats with all the phony praise coming from Triple H and Batista. You know they're full of it because Triple H has never said that good of things about Cena in the first place. Because of the sickening kiss-ass...err...butt promos they have been airing all over the place, I am not paying for a PPV where I will not only sit through another Horrible Cena match, but another CENA Win!
Oh I do have some good things to say. Besides posting probably one of the most angry blogs on Myspace in history about wrestling I did have some pretty amazing things to say about Matt Hardy. Each week I write a wrestling blog with 2 of my buddies on MySpace called the Fatal 4-Way, believe it or not there used to be four of us. Lol!! My part is called the Skirt Sheet and this week I pretty much killed both TNA and WWE in a make-shift "Dexter" hit list. Except Matt Hardy. Here is what I had to say about Matt...
Thanks John for taking the time to read my, angry email! It was hard to hold back the f-bombs!
Forbes Burlingham:
Really enjoyed UFC 91 - it
was great we got to see all the prelims for a change.
Lesner's ko of Couture was great. I think Lesnar will be a huge draw in the UFC, he brings in the wrestling audience and I think MMA fans will pay to see him get beat(which I don't see happening anytime soon).
My question - How will Brock Lesnar fare against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira or Frank Mir? I think Nogueira is the tougher opponent but I think Lesnar is improving at such a rapid rate - I say Lesnar KO's Nogueira in 2 and a rematch with Mir - Lesner KO in first round.
Second question - Do we see
Brock Lesner vs. Fedor Emelianenko?
I don't see Affliction lasting too much longer and expect Fedor might be in UFC
by Late 2009 or 2010. Fedor would be favoured but Brock would definitely have a
chance.
POLLOCK: No matter how hard Lesnar trains his BJJ will not be at the level of Mir of Nogueira for that fight. I think Mir gasses against Lesnar a second time but who knows of Lesnar gets caught again? I think Lesnar will be much more relaxes against Mir a second time. Nogueira can take a punch but Lesnar has amazing strength though boxing skill is Nogueria's strength in this fight. My gut tells me Lesnar beats Mir but loses to Nogueira but would not shock me if Lesnar could beat Nogueira at this stage of Nog's career.
