**Click here to download last night's edition of The LAW featuring a full review of the WWE ‘Survivor Series' show, UFC welterweight Matt Serra discussing his upcoming fight at UFC 109, Dave Meltzer of the ‘Wrestling Observer Newsletter' and for those of you that download the show you will also receive the latest edition of ‘Review a Wai' where Wai Ting and I take a look at the 1994 ‘Survivor Series' event.
**Tonight is the three hour ‘Thanksgiving edition' of ‘Raw' from Hershey, Pennsylvania featuring Jesse Ventura as the guest host of the show to promote his new ‘Conspiracy Theory' show on truTV that debuts on December 2nd. They only have three weeks before the ‘TLC' pay per view on December 13th and there are a few directions they can do on the ‘Raw' side with the heavy tease of a Triple H Vs Shawn Michaels match but it will be interesting where John Cena is slotted for the next PPV. Tonight they will also air the trailer for ‘The Marine 2' starring Ted DiBiase.
**The ‘Survivor Series' show was a much better show than the promotion leading into the show would indicate. The latest youth initiative is focused on Kofi Kingston, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre and last night's show was a huge push for all three talents and was a tremendous job of booking by the WWE. Here are my thoughts on the show:
Team Miz over Team Morrison
This was booked exactly how I thought it should have been with Sheamus and McIntyre being the stars of the match and The Miz also surviving. It was clear in the booking of this match that Dolph Ziggler's push is finished for the time being as is the feud with John Morrison. Sheamus is actually better suited for ‘Smackdown' where could work with the second tier of babyfaces on that show though he looks very politically secure on ‘Raw' right now.
Batista over Rey Mysterio by referee stoppage
Rey is off for knee surgery and this was the angle to write him out. I don't know if immediately going to a match with The Undertaker is the right move but the WWE is prone to throwing matches together in quick fashion, the question is that if Batista is held off for ‘Taker until January than where do you put him in the mean time?
Team Kofi over Team Orton
Great booking of Kofi Kingston in this match and surprised a lot of people with the finish involving Randy Orton. Christian was a great addition to this match and continues to work well above the push he is receiving and is quietly having one of the best years of his career since returning to the WWE. Kingston Vs Orton in a singles match is the next logical step in the feud and the booking will be interesting as Kingston is being taken seriously by the audience and that is a rarity for mid card talent today.
The Undertaker over Chris Jericho and Big Show to keep the World Title
This match just didn't click for me it was incredibly slow at points due to the limitations of the Big Show. Now that the show is over and Big Show is off for knee surgery, it's still perplexing why it wasn't Undertaker Vs Chris Jericho on this show as a singles.
Team Mickie over Team Michelle
This match was strange and didn't have any chance to build as they had to rush through eight falls. The finish came when it was down to Mickie & Melina Vs Michelle McCool so the heel had to overcome the handicap situation. They built to a hot tag with Melina instead of Mickie, who is actually on the same show feuding with McCool and then Melina gets the win for the team - strange booking and James seems to have upset somebody.
John Cena over Triple H and Shawn Michaels to keep the WWE Title
Main back drop of the match was Triple H and Shawn Michaels starting their own feud coming out of this match, which is a positive for both as the comedy is beyond worn thin in my opinion and enough was enough.
**Here are the matches on Ring of Honor tonight at 8pm EST and 11pm EST on HD Net:

LAW FEEDBACK
Richard Wells:
I find TNA impact to be a better show compared to weeks ago but the heel/face turns make little to no sense. I was wondering what are your thoughts on the following wrestlers and their "turns".
Angle
Nash siding with Eric Young
Team 3D
The Pope
Mick Foley & Angle one promo face turns
Traci Brooks? (although Alissa flash is a heel they fought as heels and alissa beat her up
after the match so Traci does look like a "face")
& Jesse Neil!!
Stephanie in Winnipeg:
Gentlemen, a few Survivor Series thoughts.
- SmackDown wins 'Bragging Rights,' so naturally this means that only one of their commentators gets to be on the pay-per-view. Way to go continuity!
- Christian wins at life for cutting some great promos this week, particularly his Team Kingston one this evening. It wasn't 'gimme a beat!' but it was close!
- Michelle McCool continues her quest to become AJ Styles. What made her gimmick thievery bearable was seeing her name misspelled on the TitanTron.
- I loved the main event. Lots of incredible spots and that superkick to start the match made me believe there might still be some gas left in the creative machine. MIGHT.
Can't believe I have to wait two weeks for the Ultimate Fighter finale.
Anthony Skatz:
Did you notice throughout Survivor Series how it seemed like Cole tried to make as many jabs as possible at Striker, only for Matt to pimp smack Cole back down? I read somewhere that Cole ALLEGEDLY has a ton of heat on him right now and Vince isn't happy with his commentary, while Vince is getting higher on Striker. I don't recall a Lawler/Cole/Striker booth being used before, so this sure felt like Vince's way to get Striker more pull on TV and PPV while Cole was becoming irritated.
David Cimini:
I thought the ppv tonight was good lots of strong matchs and everyone worked hard tonight. The opening match was strong and it was a nice heel win for the miz's team. The Mysterio/Batista match was alright but should have went longer now we know that Rey will be taking some time off to get his knee repaired. The Christian promo was excellent! as the match was pretty good and i liked the ending with kofi getting the win over Ortan i really like the push Vince is giving kofi and his fued with Ortan should be good. The divas match was kinda boring the only weak spot of the ppv, thank god Maryse is returing soon to help out the womens divison. The SD main event was good and happy they kept the title on UT with a nice finish at the end good match. The Raw main event was a great match and all 3 guys worked hard. Really digged the Sweet chin from shawn on trips to start the match and i can already feel the slowing breaking up of DX its about time! good finish with cena retaining. Only question i got is who is cena going to feud with now if Shawn and Trips are gonna feud themselves and Ortan and Kofi feuding maybe it leaves a door open for MVP or someone. Overall Two thumbs up one of the best ppvs of the year!
